Choosing a proper domain name is a vital step that should be given serious consideration in your business plan.A short, descriptive and catchy domain name may just be money in the bank.

    ## 1. MAKE IT EASY FOR CUSTOMERS

    # Can they say it?

    # Can they spell it?

    # Can they remember it?

    # Shorter is better.

    # Try to use extension names with .com,.org or .net

    ## 2. DOMAIN NAME MUST BE RELATED WITH SITE

The Domain Name of Your Site must be related with the type of your site.Such as People may get the idea of your site from the Domain Name.

    ## 3. MAKE SURE YOU OWN IT.

If your web designer registered your domain name on your behalf, get this resolved right away. Make sure:

    # you own your own domain name

    # your contact information is correct and current

    # Make sure your domain is registered for at least 5 years.

    # you have the current login and password to your domain name registry.

    ## 4. GET IT CHEAP.

    # Never invest too much for the domain name.

Yet more canned wisdom - all for a link drop.

    Spam - who needs it?

The thing I find funny about the spam here is that none of them have realised the links are no-followed so they get pretty much no value even if they slip by the net

Most spammers are still using 1999 methods - I'm amazed that they still think forum links do a lot of good even if they weren't nofollowed.

And I'm stunned every time I see SEOs recommending forum link dropping - it makes me think of idiot farmers trying to get milk from bullocks.

Maybe once they get to 2005 the penny will drop. Or maybe their balls will. Who knows?

Of late there is a tendency for the spammers to spout "distilled wisdom" often couched in poor English. When will they wake up ?
It is a pain to remove all the spams here and in the mail box.
