Hello guys here's a real brain teaser.
FYI i am not Server administration guy but more of a site developer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a website www.ABC.com which is an affiliate site of www.XYZ.com.
We want to map our sub-domains www1.ABC.com to XYZ.com in such a way that when the user leaves our website by clicking on any of the links within or by submitting a form and goes on to www.XYZ.com which is our parent affiliate website to book a hotel or to buy a product then the browser should show the url as www1.ABC.com and not www.XYZ.com.
I don't know what this trick is really been called as, might be Domain masking or domain mapping .... .
I have seen this happening on www.hotels1.com where in when a user clicks on any of the affiliate links it moves on to travel.ian.com but the browser url displays www1.hotels1.com.(definately they are not frames)
Please help me out on the same.
Have a nice day.
Thanks & Regards,
Nilesh
