I have a website. And usually I use the websites url as my signature on some of the forums I post at.

Does this make a differece when it comes to sites linking to your site ?

1 - make sure you ask what the forum rules are regarding that practice - more and more places are clamping down on it

2 - doesn't really do much for rankings based on inbound links - engines know about it, and it's value is supressed a bit

3 - they can be a good way to drive actual traffic, though - an inboud link in the right place to valued content is always useful to users.

It has a little effect if the other sites are relevant.

Don't do it here. All links are nuked from posts. smile
