    Besides the obvious Yahoo and DMOZ does anyone have a list of directories that generally have decent pagerank at sub-directory levels?

    Andrew - use the search function and you'll find at least a half dozen recent threads with exactly what you're after - make sure to open the "date range" up for the search - say, the last 6 months.

    Forget PR. Treat your site as if you were optimising for humans and you will be doing it correctly.

    I.E. Keep directories on topic and don't waste time with link exchanges.

    Ignore the graphical bar on the toolber. It is out of date and no longer relevant.
